As Luis Suarez wheeled away in celebration following his debut goal against Stoke at Anfield, Liverpool supporters breathed a collective sigh of belief. Prior to his goal, some doubt still existed as to the quality of the Uruguayan center forward. Many feared that Suarez might follow in the footsteps of other prolific Eredivisie forwards such as Majeta Kezman and Klaas Jan Huntelaar, and fail to step up to the top level of the European game. However, judging by his bright, energetic performance against Stoke, the Kop will enjoy many more years of Suarez goals. The next question for Suarez to answer, however, lies in the future. Due to a groin injury picked up while playing for Newcastle, the Anfield crowd will have to wait to see how Suarez and record signing Andy Carroll gel together as a partnership. If a strong strike force can be forged quickly then, who knows, maybe Liverpool's dreams of a top four spot will come to fruition. Looking short term though, Liverpool and Suarez must concentrate on the challenge which lies ahead of them, that of a trip to Stamford Bridge this Sunday and an opportunity to meet up with an old friend...
Can a Suarez/Carroll partnership propel Liverpool to fourth?
How will Liverpool fare against Torres and company at Stamford Bridge?
